Dear John,
I am writing you this morning with some momentous news. Yesterday afternoon, the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that Obamacare’s individual mandate is unconstitutional.
When the TPPF litigation center filed to join the Texas-led, 20 state lawsuit on behalf of individual Texans burdened by the Affordable Care Act, we did so in pursuit of freedom for Americans who wished to be able to purchase health insurance coverage in a competitive market that meets their needs.
Yesterday’s decision is a victory for the American people and for respect of the Constitution. The court’s opinion recognizes that Obamacare continues to injure millions of Americans like the clients we represent who have lost their choice of doctor, suffered rationed care, and had their insurance costs skyrocket. This decision puts us one step closer to eventually freeing the American people from its unconstitutional mandates and regulations.
Our mighty litigation team in the TPPF Center for the American Future could not have persisted without the generosity of Texas Public Policy Foundation supporters.
The Fifth Circuit Court has returned our lawsuit to the lower court to determine what parts of the law can remain in effect.
It is here that our top-notch litigators—under the leadership of lead counsel Rob Henneke—need your help. Those who support Obamacare will continue to fight hard against us, and there is little doubt that we will ultimately defend this historic win at the U.S. Supreme Court.
At this critical time, I ask that you stand with us by making your most generous gift in defense of the freedom for each individual to retain control over their very own health care, using the link I've included below. Each of our lives may depend on it.
