Our country is riddled with rampant, chronic, and racially-motivated voter suppression,
that's a fact. This time it's being led by a politician who is as crooked as they come.
Every day, we watch on the news as power-hungry politicians mobilize their supremacist power to intimidate voters, close polling locations in majority-minority neighborhoods, and weaponize our tax dollars to do everything in their power to continue the brutal history of voter disenfranchisement against Black communities.
This is disgusting.
Instead of defending the voting rights of the people who pay to keep him in office, Gov. Ron DeSantis has weaponized the police force to break into quiet, peaceful neighborhoods to arrest 20 individuals – most of whom were Black – charged with election fraud. This is exactly the point where you shake your head in horror.
These are the politicians in 2022 that sit in office. It's not difficult to understand that we're still faced with the harsh reality that Black lives are simply not valued. We have to protect our voting rights, they can't dismiss us and our concerns if we vote them out, and vote the right people in.

John, it gets worse! Many of the arrested individuals were led to believe by elected officials and voter registration groups that they were eligible to vote as part of Florida's widely publicized push to restore the voting rights of most felons – just to be told
they could face prison time for simply misunderstanding the law.
We must vote for elected officials who care more about our lives than their quest for control or corruption. The first and easiest step towards transformation of our institutions is to protect our voting rights.
This is bigger than this travesty in Florida, we've seen so many shady attempts from higher government officials. It's sad to say that this is not a new tactic. So, help us make sure people can vote. Let's make sure our communities' voters can cast their ballots and use their voices for those who have been silenced.
The future of Black lives is in voting, and Black lives won't matter if we are prevented from voting -- so, chip in whatever you can to our PAC so we can continue to take our protest to politics and transform our government to benefit the future of Black lives.
