The Republicans in Congress are now saying the quiet part out loud.

This week, Lindsey Graham introduced a bill to ban abortions nationwide after 15 weeks. He's already promised that if Republicans take control of Congress in November, his bill will see a vote in the new year.

Of course, we already knew what the Republicans were really after after the fall of Roe v. Wade.

This was never about states' rights. It was always about controlling women's bodies. We know what's coming if the Republicans gain control of Congress - and we cannot allow that to happen.

And let's be clear about this, John: My opponent, Alek Skarlatos, is right there with the rest of the MAGA movement that wants to turn the clock back in this country on our fundamental rights and freedoms. He called on the Supreme Court to "go for it" and overturn Roe. He is on the record calling to defund Planned Parenthood. We know exactly where he stands.

I have been proud to stand firmly in support of reproductive rights and abortion access throughout my life and my time in public service – and I'll be damned if I'm going to let Alek Skarlatos and Lindsey Graham be the decision-makers on what women can and cannot do with their own bodies.

Republicans are spending heavily in this district right now because they know that this seat is one of the critical races that will determine the majority in Congress. I'm doing everything that I can to make sure that we hold this seat, and hold the Democratic majority. There's too much at stake and the alternative is unacceptable.
