PFAW Member, Thank you so much for all of your continued support and activism in the fight against the Trump and Trump Republicans’ extreme agenda. 2020 is almost here! And with the next Democratic presidential debate happening tonight, we wanted to give you a sneak peek at our new Confirmed Judges, Confirmed Fears interactive online research tool! It’s one example of the kind of tools we’ll be building throughout the year to help shape the narrative and empower activists in our efforts to make sure our courts (and the Right’s assault on our courts) stay in focus as a key election year issue. The Confirmed Judges, Confirmed Fears tool piggybacks on our detailed tracking of Trump’s judicial nominees with our Confirmed Judges, Confirmed Fears blog series. For years, we’ve worked to highlight the impact that Trump’s extreme judges are having once confirmed to the federal bench by Mitch McConnell’s GOP Senate majority, especially the harm they are already causing to Americans’ fundamental rights and our core constitutional values. You can look up disastrous rulings by Trump nominees either by judge or issue. The tool currently tracks over 200 rulings from more than 40 of Trump’s judges on issues including age discrimination, gun safety, health care, LGBTQ+ rights, voting rights, women’s rights, housing, religious liberty, and the list goes on. And these rulings are just the tip of the iceberg. The cases that are highlighted are among some of the most egregious. See our recent blog for tips on navigating the new tool>> Our nation will soon face a stark choice in the upcoming elections, and the significance of Trump’s role in upending our judicial system cannot be overstated. The next president will face an enormous responsibility to repair the damage that the Trump administration and Trump judges have done to our justice system. The Confirmed Judges, Confirmed Fears tool brings that damage into sharp focus. We must continue pressing forward in the weeks and months ahead, even as Trump’s impeachment heads to the Senate and the debates continue. Your support is more necessary than ever before and we’re immensely grateful to have you alongside us in the fight against Trump and Trumpism. Thank you for everything you do, -- Zach VanHouten, PFAW
