Hi JOHN –
Today marks the first day of Hispanic Heritage Month, a time when we recognize and celebrate the incredible contributions that Hispanic Americans have imparted to our country.
In Pinellas County, I am extremely proud of our bright, strong Hispanic community. From the volunteers on my campaign to the workers in our hospitals, schools, businesses, and neighborhood shops, we are surrounded by the amazing history, culture, and achievements of Hispanic individuals and families.
Alongside our celebrations, this Hispanic Heritage Month is also a reminder of the resources that we must continue to fight for. Hispanic communities have been left behind on critical rights, including workers' compensation and benefits, healthcare, and education.
I look forward to the amazing events that we have planned around St. Pete and Pinellas County, and I also look forward to fighting alongside you to forge a better future for every American.
Hispanic Heritage Month is a time to celebrate, but more importantly, it's a time to act.
