During the school lockdowns, parents saw first hand what their children were learning. And they were not impressed by the Left’s indoctrination and focus on critical race theory and radical gender theory.

The grassroots and Heritage Action responded by working with principled state legislators to enact education reform and parental rights laws. We took the research and policy ideas of The Heritage Foundation and turned them into law.

To aid the effort for Education Freedom, the Heritage Foundation created an Education Freedom Report Card to highlight what is being done well across the country, and what can be improved.
