This year has been an exciting one for DC Jobs With Justice! With our growing team of organizers, we have been able to take on new issues and root ourselves more deeply in community. We are pounding the pavement with striking workers, walking through communities on peace walks, inside apartment buildings with Reclaim Rent Control, in businesses talking to workers about wage theft. And we are always out here standing for people over profit.
3 DC JWJ organizers
5 community peace events
$7 million saved for United Medical Center
35 member organizations in the Reclaim Rent Control campaign
50 backpacks distributed to immigrant youth
5,500 bilingual wage theft and sexual harassment fliers distributed
Plus labor solidarity actions with airport workers, teachers, health professionals, caterers, street vendors, restaurant workers, electricians, bus operators and more.
It is through the generous contributions of time and resources from our community that we build powerful movements for justice in Washington, DC. We can't do any of this work with out your support. Please give today to sustain DC Jobs With Justice in 2020.
In solidarity and resistance,
Elizabeth Falcon
