Dear John,
North Texas Giving Day is just one week away! This special day allows supporters like you from across the country to multiply their gifts for our mission of advancing religious liberty.
And now, there are more reasons than ever to join the fight to defend our First Freedom.
First Liberty is going back to the Supreme Court, petitioning two cases that could shape the future of religious freedom for your family for generations.
First, we are returning to the highest court in the land seeking justice for Aaron and Melissa Klein and their family-owned bakery Sweet Cakes by Melissa. This small business was shut down because the Kleins ran their bakery according to their faith. And now, after a lengthy battle fighting in lower courts, we have asked the Supreme Court to review the case this fall.

We are also asking the Supreme Court to consider the case of our client Gerald Groff, the postal worker who was forced to choose between his job and his religious beliefs. When the USPS started delivering packages for Amazon on Sundays, Gerald requested a religious accommodation to continue honoring the Sunday Sabbath. But the USPS trampled over his First Amendment rights and violated federal law by denying his request.
These two precedent-setting cases could have huge implications for you and your family as these clients fight to live out their faith in the workplace. Right now, every dollar you give is essential in keeping our elite legal team fully equipped to fight these religious liberty battles.
As our country’s foundational freedoms begin to crumble, First Liberty is positioned as the tip of the spear, fighting tirelessly for your right to live out your faith. And the best news is, we’re winning more than ever.
This past Supreme Court term, we set historical precedent for prayer in school with Coach Kennedy and school choice for families in Maine.
Coach Kennedy’s victory at the Supreme Court strengthens constitutional protections for religious freedom. It not only protects his right to pray in public, but yours as well.
Our second Supreme Court victory overturned a Maine law that unjustly banned families from participating in a student-aid program if they choose to send their children to religious schools. This decision has national impact for parental choice and religious freedom.
In order to keep delivering victories for your foundational freedoms, we depend on the gifts of loyal friends like you. We don’t charge a single dime to the pastors, churches, ministries and people of faith that we defend—which means our efforts are only possible with your support.
Yes, I will give generously to continue reaping religious freedom TODAY!
With your help, we will continue bringing on the big wins and protecting the future of our country for your children and grandchildren.
Gratefully,
Kelly
