As Trust Conference [[link removed]] draws closer, we are delighted to announce the latest additions to our stellar lineup.
On day one, Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Dmitry Muratov will deliver a keynote speech on the crucial role that media play in holding the powerful to account, and our collective responsibility to protect the freedom of media institutions around the world. Dmitry is the Editor-in-Chief of Novaya Gazeta, a pro-democracy newspaper instrumental in the reporting of human rights violations, high-level government corruption and abuses of power.
Later that day, we are proud to welcome Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe, who will deliver a further keynote speech. While visiting her family in Iran in 2016, Nazanin was unjustly detained and held hostage for six years. Nazanin’s resilience in the face of unimaginable adversity has since seen her selected as one of Vogue's Women of the Year.
