Dear Friend:

Over the past several months, my organization World Central Kitchen (WCK) has fed millions of people on the front lines of disaster and immense personal hardship around the world — including communities affected by the war in Ukraine, floods in Kentucky, and an earthquake in eastern Afghanistan, just to name a few. More than ever before, I believe it is crucial for the leaders and leading organizations of the world to come together to take concrete action.

That’s why I’ll be at this year’s Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) — and I hope you will be, too. [[link removed]]

CGI’s model of bringing together partners in the public, private, and philanthropic sectors is a key recipe for resilience and lasting change. It is how we build longer tables. This year’s meeting will bring together people with proven track records to act on the issues we need to tackle right away — disaster recovery and response, climate change, inclusive economic growth, health equity, and the refugee crisis.

My work with WCK and CGI has convinced me that everyone has, within them, the need and opportunity to serve others. We are all citizens of this world, and we must act with the urgency of now.

It’s never been more urgent that we come together. Our lives, livelihoods, and planet depend on it.

Even if you can’t join us in person, there’s still a chance to join us from home and sign up for the CGI Digital All Access. I encourage you to do so now. [[link removed]]

I hope to see you next week,

José Andrés
