Friend-

This has been a hard year for survivors of trafficking and their families. Service providers are limited by new restrictions. Law enforcement and prosecutors struggle to maintain trust with communities put at-risk. Immigrant and LGBTQIA communities are under particular attack, making them even more vulnerable to trafficking and less likely to come forward.

But we know the truth. Demonizing immigrants, cancelling trafficking services grants, refusing to protect LGTBQIA community members from discrimination; these policies are pushing trafficking victims back into the shadows.
Freedom Network USA has met those challenges head on with advocacy, training and technical assistance for trafficking survivors and their supporters.
* We called for better legislation to support survivors and prosecute traffickers.
* We continue to fight policies that deny funding for housing and legal services for survivors.
* We fought back against disinformation campaigns meant to justify cruel anti-immigrant policies in the name of anti-trafficking.

We stand proud and speak out when others stay silent.

And we have had some success as we continue to build strength and coalition.
* 2019 was another record-breaking year for our annual conference! 650 attendees joined 44 sessions focused on a human rights-based, survivor-centered approach to labor and sex trafficking.
* The 2019 TIP Report’s US Narrative reflected our priorities, recommended that the government fund comprehensive legal representation and increase efforts to address labor trafficking, and improve access to services and immigration relief for survivors.

Now, we need you to join us. We need to do more, but we can’t do it without you.

Please consider a gift to Freedom Network USA this year. With your support we will continue to champion freedom and opportunity for trafficking survivors. Make your gift today.

In partnership,

Jean
