Many years ago, Grandpa was a World War II flying ace. But when he is sent to old folk’s home Twilight Towers – run by sinister Matron Swine – it’s up to Grandpa and his grandson, Jack, to plot a daring escape. Little do they know, the wicked matron is on to them…
The wondrous stage design for this arena spectacular will see the Motorpoint Arena Nottingham transformed into London and its landmarks, including Buckingham Palace and the River Thames, from thousands of feet in the sky, as Grandpa's life size Spitfire soars through the air.

'The Magic of Christmas' annual Christmas gala.
Nottingham's finest skating stars will put on a show to behold. Enjoy a festive ice show performed by the best talent from all figure skating disciplines including group routines, solo skaters, solo ice dancers, ice dance couples and paired skating couples.
The National Ice Centre Academy skaters will also be joined on the ice by synchronised skaters from the Nottingham Synchronised Skating Academy. 2:30 - 4pm

This New Year's Eve, Nottingham will welcome 2020 on Old Market Square with a huge free street party and fireworks sponsored by local company Purico in association with Nottingham Care Village.
The family-friendly event will see Nottingham DJ Jeremy Prince on the decks in front of the Council House, with a set that is set to feature a musical excursion of popular hits spanning the last 50 years with flavours of disco, dance, soul and reggae to help ensure Nottingham waves farewell to 2019 in style.
