Yesterday, Republican Senator Lindsey Graham introduced a bill that would ban abortion nationwide. That’s right, Lindsey Graham [[link removed]] wants to bar abortions across the country after 15 weeks. Republicans no longer care about leaving it up to the states to decide– they want to make sure that every state, including New Mexico, complies with their baseless and harmful abortion policies, regardless of what the people want.
This nonsensical abortion ban just proves MAGA Republicans’ clear intent to take away women’s bodily autonomy and criminalize doctors for providing basic reproductive care. Many states already have extremely restrictive abortion bans, and now they are coming for New Mexico. We need to elect Democrats to stand up to these MAGA extremists
