I'm John Fetterman, and I'm running for U.S. Senate in Pennsylvania. Yesterday, Lindsey Graham introduced a national abortion ban in the U.S. Senate. While announcing it, he summed up exactly why defeating Dr. Oz + winning this race is so important:
"If [the GOP] takes back the House and the Senate, then I can assure you we’ll have a vote on the [national abortion ban]. If the Democrats are in charge, I don’t know if we’ll ever have a vote on our [ban]."
We MUST grow our Democratic majorities in the House and Senate so we can stop these abortion bans and finally codify Roe v. Wade into law. And our best shot at growing that majority in the Senate is right here in PA, John.
Normally I would take the time here to share my views on abortion -- but you already know where I stand on the issue, John. I’ve always made my full and complete support for abortion + reproductive rights known.
Instead, I’m here to ask a simple question:
Where does Dr. Oz stand on a national abortion ban?
You may remember that *just* during this campaign, Oz has:
❌ Called Roe v. Wade "wrong"
❌ Said he supports a ban on abortions with no exceptions for rape or incest
❌ Called all forms of abortion, at any stage at any time, "murder"
Yet, Oz refuses to plainly tell the voters of Pennsylvania how he would vote on national abortion bans like the one introduced today. He thinks that he can use his TV talk show mumbo-jumbo to get out of answering the tough questions, but we see right through that.
Oz + the GOP don’t care that a majority of Americans support Roe. They don’t care that access to safe abortion saves lives. They don’t care that parenthood should always be a choice.
They don’t care that the right to choose what happens to your body + your future is a non-negotiable, fundamental, HUMAN right.
We can’t let them get away with this.
Oz + the Republicans are on a radical mission here -- and they’re dumping tens of millions of dollars into our race in PA because they know this seat is critical to retaking their majority + outlawing abortion nationwide.
But if we’re going to defeat the GOP + their super PACs, and achieve the 51 Democratic vote we need to protect the right to an abortion, we have to rise to the moment:
Thank you,
John ❤️

P.S. The sh*t the GOP is pulling with this proposed abortion ban is so wrong and so heavy. Please remember to step away from the news if you need to, especially while they spout their harmful lies across Fox News.
