Josh Stein for Attorney General

Friend,

We wanted to share a quick update with what Josh has been up to this summer.

To kick off the summer, he sat down with Capital Tonight to announce that the first payments from the $750 million opioid settlement he negotiated are going out now to cities and counties across the state.

Over the last few months, Josh has been traveling throughout the state to meet with local leaders and discuss how the opioid crisis has affected North Carolinians in their communities. One of his first stops was in Fayetteville, where met with local leaders who are stepping up to find innovative solutions to address the opioid crisis.

In July, he joined Governor Cooper’s Crime Commission and law enforcement leaders to discuss ways to reduce gun violence and how we can all work together to keep our communities safe.

Amidst relentless attacks on a woman’s right to choose across the nation and here in North Carolina, he joined Rep. Deborah Ross and Rep. Rosa Gill in August to share updates on efforts to protect North Carolinians’ reproductive freedoms.

And recently, he held another opioid roundtable in Transylvania County to highlight local efforts to fight the opioid epidemic.

Josh’s hard work to protect our communities and safeguard our fundamental freedoms is incredibly important. With so much on the line, Josh is busier than ever. That’s why we’re asking:

Connecting with constituents is an important way to hear how we can work together to improve North Carolina’s communities, but we need support to help us do it. Can you pitch in to help power Josh’s work?
