Friends -

Last week, California experienced record hot temperatures as a week of heat waves plagued our state, forcing daily national emergencies, pushing our electrical fields and power grids to the brink of failure, and increasing wildfires.

Wildfires and triple-digit heat cannot become our norm. Countries all over the world are already experiencing the detrimental effects of climate change through catastrophic natural disasters. And the reality is our poor climate decisions are impacting the entire world, particularly the developing world.

While California and Washington face hazardous air quality because of wildfires, Pakistan is experiencing catastrophic monsoons killing hundreds and displacing millions of people. This is a result of the man-made climate disaster that we have created. And we must act now to fix it.

The United States must lead our global community on climate action because Congress can make the difference the world needs to protect our planet before it is far too late.

That's why we are asking you to support Robert’s campaign for Congress today. Robert has been a climate leader in Long Beach, and when you send Robert to Congress, he will be one more vote for transformative climate legislation like the Green New Deal. Because although Congress passed historic climate protection legislation this year with the Inflation Reduction Act, there is much more work to be done. We must make our planet a priority.

So if you can afford to do so, please add a contribution to support Robert Garcia’s campaign for Congress. Every dollar you contribute will make a difference.

Thank you for supporting our movement and protecting our planet.
