Hey John, it’s Nida Allam!
I am SO excited to announce our amazing first slate of endorsements this year!
Abortion rights are on the ballot in North Carolina. If we are going to maintain Gov. Cooper’s veto power, we must prevent the NC GOP from winning a supermajority in the NC House and Senate.
And that starts by electing (and re-electing) these 4 strong Democrats in our state legislature:
- Diamond Staton-Williams, a hard-working mother fighting for strong public education and mental health services.
- Rep. Ricky Hurtado, a son of working class immigrants using his platform to help first-generation college students and immigrant families break down barriers.
- Rep. Marcia Morey, a progressive champion fighting for community service and diversionary programs instead of harsh criminal punishments to fix our broken justice system.
- Carla Catalán Day, a small business owner and proud mother using her voice to challenge establishment politicians and the status quo.
John, North Carolina needs leaders who will put in the work for our community and fight back against Republicans. Even just a small donation goes a long way. Can you chip in $27 to help us kickstart our efforts to get these candidates elected? >>
In my home state, abortion rights are being threatened by Republicans– but we have the power to protect our community.
And that starts by electing these champions who are proudly running to turn NC not just blue but progressive!
I’m proud to use my platform to support progressive candidates who are fighting for working families, and I hope you’ll stand with me.
But John, Republicans are gearing up to challenge us at the ballot box in November and we can’t let them win. Our rights are on the line and if we don’t elect progressives up and down the ballot, we could lose our fundamental rights.
Please join me in supporting these amazing candidates for NC state legislature, because with your help, we can get progressives elected all across the state. Can you chip in just a few dollars to join our movement? >>
Thank you for your support,
Nida Allam
