Here at Breathe SoCal, we are very excited to see everyone at the 2022 Breath of Life Awards®, which will take place on Tuesday, October 11, 2022, from 6:00 pm - 9:30 pm at the Luxe Sunset Boulevard Hotel!

Attendees of the Breath of Life Awards® celebration will enjoy an evening of networking, celebrating, entertainment, cocktails, and gourmet hors d'oeuvre stations while recognizing the hard work, dedication, and passion of those we are recognizing.

Meet Our Honorees

We are excited to present this year's Innovation Award to the Anaheim Transit Network! We are excited to honor their innovative efforts to provide a connected transportation service while reducing emissions and fostering a positive environment for the entire community.

This year's awardee of the Community Leadership Award is someone who certainly deserves this honor: Robert Berliner! As one of the longest serving Board members of Breathe SoCal (over 40 years), serving several times as chair and serving in leadership roles for many other non-profit organizations, we thank Bob for his continued work toward bettering Southern California.

Breathe SoCal is committed to educating our youth and parents on the dangers of vaping. According to the CDC, nicotine also harms the developing adolescent brain, which keeps developing until age 25. Nicotine can harm the parts of the brain that control emotion, learning, critical thinking, and impulse control.

27.4% of students reported vaping or cigarette usage in a 2019-2020 survey.

2,807 hospitalizations and 68 deaths were attributed to vaping from 2019-2020.

Our anti-vaping education program - The Vaping Trend: Clearing the Air is open to parents, teachers, and public safety officers, who want to learn more about the dangers of vaping. The workshop seeks to shed light on the public health issues of e-cigarettes and help families keep their teens safe.
