Hey John – It’s been less than three months since Roe v. Wade was overturned, and already Republicans are pouncing on the opportunity to take away abortion access. Yesterday, Sen. Lindsey Graham introduced legislation that would ban abortions after 15 weeks of pregnancy nationwide.

As a staunch pro-choice advocate, this was frightening for me to hear, but I want to clarify two things:

1.
This
bill
won’t
become
law
immediately.
That’s
because
Democrats
currently
hold
a
narrow
majority
in
Congress.
2.
However
–
the
midterm
elections
are
just
eight
weeks
away,
and
if
Republicans
win
back
the
House
and
Senate,
they’ll
waste
no
time
in
passing
a
national
abortion
ban.

One of the most hotly contested Senate races this November is right here in Georgia, as my friend Rev. Raphael Warnock is fighting for re-election against extremist GOP candidate Herschel Walker. Senate control – and the right to choose – could all hinge on the outcome right here in Georgia, and we need to make sure we're doing everything possible to Get Out The Vote.
