Team,
This past Sunday, we observed the 21st anniversary of Patriot Day, a day of somber remembrance of the tragedies of 9/11.
The memories of the deadliest terror attacks on U.S. soil in modern history still remain raw for those of us who witnessed the horrors, either in person or through live reporting on television sets.
In Virginia, the attack on the Pentagon was especially close and personal for many of us. I am thinking of the friends, family, and colleagues who were lost that day. My prayer is that all of us who were impacted have found some level of peace and have transformed grief into meaningful actions that build community, promote dialogue, and strengthen our unity.
Twenty-one years. As we mourn and reflect, I hope that we gather around common, core values: community, hope, peace, and healing.
Onward, with gratitude.
