I'm reaching out this morning to some of our top supporters because our team has launched an important mid-month fundraising drive, and to be very direct, we need your help.

Here's the deal: September is an official FEC deadline month, and right now we're off pace of where we need to be. We've emailed about these deadlines before, but I mean it when I say that this one is a big one.

When it's over, we're legally required to publicly report how much money we've raised, and more importantly to me, how many individual donations we've received.

These numbers are important, and the goals we set to try and reach each month aren't arbitrary.

Practically, they are resources that our team needs to organize and grow support for our progressive agenda nationwide — but they also represent the grassroots strength of the movement we're building together.

Plus, your support is what allows me to focus on the work you elected me to do in the Senate rather than dial for dollars every day like some of my colleagues. That means a lot.

You can bet that with the midterm elections less than two months away, our opponents in the fossil fuel lobby and right-wing super PACs will be going through our receipts as soon as they can, looking for any sign of weakness or slowing momentum.

That's why I have to ask:

Can you make a contribution — of $3 or anything you can — before our team's mid-month fundraising drive ends tomorrow at midnight? Help us close the gap so we can report the strongest numbers possible when this FEC deadline ends. [[link removed]]
