[1]Cheri Beasley for North Carolina

In this campaign, we are challenging all of the conventional wisdom with a nominee for U.S. Senate unlike North Carolina has ever seen before.

Cheri’s won statewide twice before, so she knows what it takes to win. That’s why when we launched this campaign, she made clear that we couldn’t settle for the old, failed playbook.

We had to try something new — a grassroots campaign that touches every corner of the state and truly gives people a voice.

That bet is paying off in big ways. Poll after poll shows us in a dead heat, and now far-right super PACs are taking note of our momentum and rushing in with tens of millions of dollars to try to hold this seat.

But there are real obstacles to taking on the conventional wisdom and running a campaign like this. Plus, history shows that there’s a consistent trend of underfunding for women and people of color who run for office. On average, African American women running for Congress raised only about HALF of what white candidates raised according to the Center for Responsive Politics’ analysis.

That’s why our mid-month fundraising deadline at midnight tomorrow is so critical. Between the ramped-up GOP spending and the FEC deadline, all eyes are watching to see if Cheri and this grassroots team can defy history.

So we are humbly asking:

Can you please make a contribution to our campaign to help us make history and send Cheri Beasley to the U.S. Senate? She cannot do this alone. This campaign is powered by each person chipping in what they can.

We cannot afford to fall short or slow down now. The Senate majority is on the line, and the pressure is on.

Thank you,

Team Beasley
