John,
It's been over a year since the U.S. military abruptly withdrew troops from Afghanistan. Now, thousands of Afghans who resettled in the United States in search of safety need legal support.
The American Immigration Council is mobilizing volunteer attorneys to help prepare asylum applications for people who fled Afghanistan. Our Immigration Justice Campaign is working around the clock to pair everyone with a pro bono attorney. But we need your help to make that a reality.
Here is what your gift could accomplish, dollar for dollar:
*
$6:
Train
5
lawyers
to
prepare
Afghan
asylum
applications.

*
$27:
Mentor
a
volunteer
attorney.

*
$58:
Match
a
volunteer
attorney
with
an
asylum
seeker.

As little as $6 can ensure that people have a lawyer by their side during this difficult asylum process. Please consider making a gift today. [[link removed]]
