Dear John:
It’s time.
People’s Action is endorsing Bernie Sanders for President.
This wasn’t a decision we made lightly. We have a deep commitment to democracy, and we stuck to that commitment, designing an endorsement process that was a vehicle for the multiracial working class to make its voice heard.
After a year and a half of forums, gatherings, and other conversations with the candidates, the choice was clear. Elizabeth Warren and Julian Castro both got votes, but Bernie Sanders won the final endorsement vote with a whopping 73 percent of the vote.

Can we count on your contribution as we take the next step in the fight to take back our country?

The reason Bernie came out on top is crystal clear: he cuts through the haze of corporate propaganda that clouds politics across the political spectrum. Throughout his career, he has refused to bow to the demands and threats of the rich and the powerful. Our members can know he will stand with everyday people because he has always done so.
I don’t have to tell you that our country is in a crisis. Yesterday, the House of Representatives voted to impeach Donald Trump. The only people that Donald Trump cares about--the super-rich--have pushed our economy, democracy, and our planet to the breaking point.
Everything we love is on the line--and we have to be prepared to fight like we’ve never fought before.
People’s Action has committed to organizing 50,000 volunteers to reach 3 million voters this year. That’s a big goal. But it’s a commitment that fits the crisis. The corporations that have captured our government are going to throw everything they can at Bernie to stop him and stop us from moving from protest to power. If we’re going to win this, we need your support and we need it now.
Big money does not support the People's Action agenda, but we know you do. Please contribute what you can so we can keep fighting with and for people who are poor and working class. We are counting on you.
In solidarity,
George Goehl
