Green Bay Packers Foundation Punts to Planned Parenthood
From Lifenews.com:
"The Green Bay Packers are one of the most storied franchises in the NFL. The football team has the distinction of winning the first-ever Super Bowl decades ago, but now the Packers are gaining attention for a more dubious reason.
"To the consternation of pro-life Packers fans in Green Bay, Wisconsin and across the nation, the NFL team’s foundation has decided to fund Planned Parenthood, the nation’s largest abortion business that annually kills more than 330,000 babies in abortions.
Read the rest of the article HERE.
Julaine Appling, WFA president, says, "The Green Bay Packers Foundation just gave a boost to an organization whose main reason for existence is to kill unborn babies. For those of us who are unabashedly pro-life--and that position way supersedes our support for the Packers--this is very disappointing. The GB Packers Foundation either bought a lie or has core beliefs that make abortion ok."

Madison School District Put on Notice
From the Wisconsin State Journal:
"A conservative legal group is giving the Madison School District 45 days to change a policy the organization says unconstitutionally bars parents from finding out from school staff if their child is transitioning genders or it will sue the district.
"The Wisconsin Institute for Law & Liberty, or WILL, sent a letter Wednesday to the district laying out its legal arguments against portions of a 'guidance document' for working with transgender and non-binary students, which prohibits staff from revealing to parents if their child is transitioning genders unless the student gives permission.
Read more HERE.
“The Madison School District has been put on notice: they cannot trounce on the rights of parents," says Julaine Appling, WFA president, "Issuing and enforcing guidelines that keep critical information about their children from parents is patently wrong and is harmful to the well-being of the children. Thank you to Wisconsin Institute for Law and Liberty for this letter and for being willing, if necessary, to bring a lawsuit.”
Presidential Impeachment: How the Process Works
Yesterday, the U.S. House of Representatives voted to impeach President Donald Trump. The Wisconsin delegation vote was along party lines, with Democrats Mark Pocan, Ron Kind, and Gwen Moore voting to impeach; and Republicans Bryan Steil, Jim Sensenbrenner, Glenn Grothman and Mike Gallagher voting against impeachment. Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) is now saying she isn’t going to release the impeachment articles to the Senate until she is satisfied that the rules the Senate establishes for how that body will handle the impeachment trial are “fair.” The Constitution requires that the House send the articles of impeachment to the Senate, but does not specify when that must be done.
Much confusion exists about the next steps and about whether or not the House vote means the president is removed from office. To be clear, the House voting to impeach the president, does not mean he is removed from office. The Constitution requires that after the House votes to impeach, the next step is, once the Senate receives the articles of impeachment, that the Senate acts as a kind of court, conducting some type of trial to determine whether the president would be removed from office.
Snowflakes: Fascinating Masterpieces of God's Creation
If you've never read the story of Wilson (Willie) Bentley, now would be a great time to do so as winter rolls into Wisconsin. This fascinating story is shared from the Institute for Creation Research:
While [Bentley] was still a boy, his mother, a school teacher, gave him a microscope that he used to observe everything from flowers to snow—and snow especially fascinated him.One of his inspirations to study snow was the Bible verses in Job 38 about the “treasures of the snow.”5 When asked why he took an interest in snow, he answered that "...snowflakes were miracles of beauty; and it seemed a shame that this beauty should not be seen and appreciated by others. Every crystal was a masterpiece of design; and no one design was ever repeated. When a snowflake melted, that design was forever lost. Just that much beauty was gone, without leaving any record behind. I became possessed with a great desire to show people something of this wonderful loveliness, an ambition to become, in some measure, its preserver."
Read the rest of Bentley's story and look at some of his impressive photos of snowflakes HERE.
In 2013, photographer Alexey Kljatov showcased some of his macro photography of snowflakes (see photo, left). You can view his spectacular photos in the article "Macro photos of snowflakes show impossibly perfect designs" HERE.
WFA president Julaine Appling comments, "Even the author, who is from all evidence not a Christian and strongly believes in 'natural science,' says snowflakes are 'impossibly perfect.' Only a perfect, all wise, all knowing, all powerful Creator could do this impossible thing!"
