John, right now, abortion is still legal in Pennsylvania — but the next Governor will decide if it stays that way. I have always fought for a woman’s right to choose, from my time as State Representative to now, as the Attorney General. A woman’s power over her own body should not be up for discussion by politicians — or by anyone. That is why I will veto any legislation that attempts to further restrict abortion rights and reproductive health in Pennsylvania. Compare that to my extreme opponent Doug Mastriano, who has promised that if given the chance he’ll ban abortions with zero exceptions — even in the case of rape, incest, or life of the mother. He literally said banning abortion was his “#1 issue.” The difference couldn’t be more clear: Doug Mastriano would take away abortion rights. I would veto any abortion bill and protect women’s rights to their bodies. That’s what’s at stake in this race. Thank you, Josh Shapiro
