Today, Senator Lindsey Graham introduced a nationwide abortion ban — and promised that if Republicans take back control of Congress they will vote to pass it. Take him at his word: "If we take back the House and the Senate, I can assure you we’ll have a vote on our bill."
First, the GOP said the Supreme Court was right to overturn Roe v. Wade because it’s an issue best left to the states. But now they want a national abortion ban? It's almost as if in 161 years, it's never been about states' rights, just less rights for... us.
But we expected this. The overturning of Roe v. Wade has opened the floodgates for GOP majorities across the country to pass legislation banning abortion — unless we step up. If we are going to protect access to abortion, we must win our race on November 8 and not only elect Summer to Congress but elect Democrats up and down the ballot in PA.
