John, today, Senator Lindsey Graham introduced a national ban on abortion that aims to strip away women’s access to safe, legal, and potentially life-saving health care in all 50 states.
It is abhorrent.
Let me be clear: This radical government-mandated ban doesn’t represent the views of voters across the nation. The majority of Americans know that abortion is health care — and we also know that millions of people with pregnancy complications will quite literally die if they don’t have access to reproductive care.
The United States already has the highest maternal mortality rate in the world, and I refuse to watch that number skyrocket because extremists are bent on stripping us of our bodily autonomy. That’s why I’m prepared to stand up to the anti-choice xxxxxx in Washington and safeguard our rights on Day One.
My opponent has already voted against both abortion and contraception access during his four months in Congress. Mike Flood is a surefire vote for a similar draconian ban in Congress, and I cannot stress enough how critical your vote for me is — for our young people, for our loved ones, and for the health of this country.
