As we’re talking with voters, we’re making sure everyone knows about Jeanne’s Republican opponent, Tom Emmer, and the shenanigans he’s up to in Washington, DC. So we thought we’d share some trivia about Emmer with you:
- As chair of the National Republican Congressional Committee, Tom Emmer is the person in DC whose job is to spearhead and fund the reelections of extremist candidates like Marjorie Taylor Greene, Matt Gaetz, and Lauren Boebert.
- Emmer has an atrocious record on women’s rights, opposing not just reproductive freedoms but also voting against the Violence Against Women Act and against pay equity.
- Last week, Emmer called abortions “Chinese genocide,” somehow being both sexist and racist in only two words.
- Emmer has become a political lackey for far-right MAGA Republicans, losing his connection with Minnesotans and prioritizing party loyalty over his own constituents.
But John, Jeanne has a plan to defeat Emmer and finally restore our community’s voice in Congress.
The more that people learn about Emmer’s political dealings in DC, and the more that people get to know about Jeanne, the more willing they are to support Jeanne’s campaign to beat Emmer this November. So now, we need to get the word out.
That’s where you come in, John. We’ve crunched the numbers and we know that if we can persuade a certain number of open-minded neighbors, we have a real path to victory, (which you can read about here). Which means that we have a solid chance of replacing Tom Emmer with a nurse anesthetist who will make her decisions based on facts, science, and input from constituents.
But in order to reach every voter, we need to be running expensive ads and making sure we’re breaking through the background noise of the election.
