John, it's Trudy. I am disgusted and frightened by the news from the Senate floor today. The GOP's scheme to pass a nationwide ban is entirely out of touch and goes directly against our constitutional rights to freedom and privacy.

Recently, voters in Kansas joined together to REJECT this far-right, anti-choice agenda. Now, we need voters all across the country to bring that same heart and spirit to the ballot boxes in November.

If we let the GOP take back the Senate, conservative senators will have the power to outlaw abortions in all 50 states in one fell swoop. Make no mistake: If Eric Schmitt wins in November, he would help make this happen. It is DANGEROUS and APPALLING that we are facing the biggest setback to women’s rights and equality in 50 years. My opponent – Eric Schmitt – signed the country’s first abortion ban that has NO EXCEPTIONS for rape and incest.
We must move forward with more autonomy and equality for all.
The only way to truly restore reproductive freedom for all Americans is by winning in states like Missouri so we can expand our Senate majority and finally codify our right to an abortion and make private healthcare decisions without government mandates.

And if we don't take federal action to defend our right to choose, our country will continue down this dark path and lose more and more of Americans' remaining freedoms. Experts are warning that legislators in states like mine could move to outlaw abortion care entirely, ban interstate travel for abortions, restrict birth control access, and criminalize the very act of seeking information about abortions.

A clear majority of Americans support legal access to abortion. We have to stand up for them. This November, we must expand our Senate majority by electing Democratic leaders who will protect reproductive freedom. We can do that right here in Missouri, but only if grassroots activists like you stand with me: Please, can you pitch in $5 tonight to send an unapologetically pro-choice leader to Washington?
