Lindsey Graham introduced a national abortion ban

Today, Senator Lindsey Graham introduced a national ban on abortion after 15 weeks. Make no mistake: If we do not fight back and win in November, I have no doubt Republicans in Washington will follow through and make abortion illegal in this country. This is a cruel attack on our fundamental rights – and it is not time to give up, it’s time to get involved.

In the Vermont Senate, I worked with my colleagues to pass some of the strongest reproductive rights legislation in the country. We also worked to advance the Reproductive Liberty Amendment (Article 22), which will appear on the ballot in Vermont this November – giving Vermont voters the opportunity to explicitly protect reproductive freedom in our state’s constitution. 

Republicans are uniting behind an extreme anti-women, anti-worker, anti-LGBTQ agenda ahead of the midterm elections – and this proposed ban must be a rallying cry for Democrats ahead of November.
