As many of you know, my campaign for Congress is well underway. With less than 60 days to go before election day, when I’m working at my business or meeting new friends at Monterey County Fair this past week, I find it inspiring and it gives me hope to meet others who are also looking forward to a change in leadership in Washington.



But there’s no getting around the fact that times are tough right now. I’m hearing it from my neighbors at the grocery store. I’m feeling it every time I put gas in my car. You get the sense that everyone is tightening their belts at home in order to balance their budget, everyone except those who keep passing these problematic policies that aren’t based in the real world.
