Hearing on TWIA's petitions to increase maximum liability limits

The Texas Department of Insurance (TDI) will have a public hearing on the Texas Windstorm Insurance Association's (TWIA's) petitions to increase its maximum liability limits. The petitions do not affect TWIA rates. 

 As required by statute, this hearing will be followed by a final Commissioner order.   


* The hearing will take place at 2 p.m. Central time, September 27, 2022, in Room 100 of the William P. Hobby Jr. State Office Building, 333 Guadalupe Street, Austin, Texas.  

* TWIA’s petitions [ [link removed] ] (filings and transmittal forms) and TDI’s initial order on TWIA’s petitions [ [link removed] ]  

* Written comments must be received by TDI by 5 p.m. Central time, September 27, 2022. Comments may be submitted by mail to the Office of the Chief Clerk, MC: GC-CCO, Texas Department of Insurance, PO Box 12030, Austin, Texas 78711-2030 or by email to [email protected].
