These 37 Green New Deal candidates from across six states will help us end the era of fossil fuels and usher in a new and just renewable energy future.
Lead Locally works with folks around the country to get involved + champion climate action. We help elect leaders who understand the scale of the climate crisis and take a principled stand against the fossil fuel industry.
But it will take an enormous amount of grassroots support to win these races. That's why we're asking: Will add your name today to personally endorse these 37 candidates?
Every signature shows the national support behind these candidates and helps them build momentum in their communities.
We know that the transition to a green economy will happen as much at the city, county, and state level as it will at the federal level.
These candidates are ready to fight for transformational change and stand up to the fossil fuel industry that's fighting to halt our progress.
Here's how:
- Legislatures like Minnesota's are on the brink of passing major climate and energy policy and we just need to pick up a couple more champions to build climate majorities!
- Cities like Corpus Christi, TX are in the heart of the oil industry, but a new generation of candidates are running to protect public health and the environment.
- The Arizona state legislature, long held by Republicans, needs new climate champions that can lead the charge to block regressive bills that are preventing the state from moving to green energy and passing water conservation measures. We're supporting three candidates who are running to move off of fossil fuels with Green New Deal solutions for their communities.
