John --
We are excited to invite all of our friends to join us again this year on Sunday, October 16th for the Ninth Annual Ponca Sacred Corn Harvest.
The annual gathering happens on Ponca Nation land and the Tanderup farm near Neligh, Nebraska -- we are harvesting the corn we plant every year as medicine for the land that sits on the Ponca Trail of Tears and path of the defeated Keystone XL pipeline.
Our allied group, the Nebraska Easement Action Team, have also invited impacted landowners on the new proposed carbon pipeline routes to join our annual tradition. Additionally, organizers from other pipeline fights, like Justin Pearson who defeated a pipeline in Memphis, will join us, from states around the country.
We will have "No Trespassing" and "No Eminent Domain, No Carbon Pipelines" yard signs to give out, as well as voting information to prepare us all for the upcoming elections.
