Senate Republicans just introduced a nationwide abortion ban.

They hope it will motivate their special interest donors and far-right voters to help them flip seats like ours and retake the majority. My opponent has already voted for an abortion ban in Colorado, and if he wins this fall, he could help Senate Republicans with a nationwide ban.

I believe that a woman's health care decisions should be between herself and her doctor, not the government. Colorado is a safe haven for women seeking reproductive care, and I intend to help keep it that way. It’s why I introduced the Women’s Health Protection Act to codify the protections of Roe v. Wade into federal law.

We knew there was a chance National Republicans would introduce a ban like this; today that becomes a reality. The stakes for holding onto our Senate majority just got even higher.
