Friend,

Make no mistake, Republicans’ attack on our bodies will not end until forced birth is the law of the land in all 50 states. And their latest stunt proves it.

As if Dobbs didn’t go far enough, Republicans in Congress are now proposing a nationwide abortion ban, outlawing bodily autonomy for everyone from Alabama to Wyoming. If this sounds sickening, it’s because it is.

After the Dobbs decision was handed down, every Republican talking head on my TV was saying this decision was about federalism and leaving the issue of abortion to the states. That BS argument was transparent then, and it’s especially transparent now.

We can’t let these Republican tyrants trick us into thinking that this is about anything other than what it is: control. But just in the last few months since Dobbs, we’ve proven we won’t be controlled so easily. Young women and men are registering en masse to show these fools come November that this won’t slide.

Friend, while we can hope that our Democratic leaders in Congress will protect us from this level of evil, I know that even the threat of this kind of draconian legislation is absolutely gut wrenching. Things are bad now, but it could get worse.

That’s why we have to fight tooth and nail to protect and expand our majorities in the House and Senate. Our situation is too precarious and too dire to leave anything to chance. So will you rush a $7 contribution right now to put the fascists threatening our lives out of office?

Friend, I know this is scary, frustrating, and infuriating. But the only way we can get rid of this pit in our stomachs is to make sure these people can’t make another decision for us again. And that starts today.

In solidarity,
