Leora Levy Responds to Rising Biden-Blumenthal Inflation Making Life Unaffordable for Connecticut

GREENWICH, CT - The Consumer Price Index (CPI) report released today revealed that despite Democrats’ misleading claims about the economy improving, August inflation was 8.3%, which is higher than predicted. Inflation increased more than expected, driven in large part by substantial jumps in the cost of food, rent, and electricity.

U.S. Senate candidate Leora Levy issued the following statement chastising Biden and Blumenthal for burdening the American people with more debt and higher inflation as a result of their reckless spending.

“Today’s CPI report indicates that President Biden’s failed policies, rubberstamped by Dick Blumenthal, are making life unaffordable for all American families. Food inflation is up 13.5% from a year ago and dairy prices are up 16.2%. Electricity rates rose 15.8%, the highest since 1981. Radical partisan policies are failing the American people, and no matter your political affiliation - Independent, Republican, or Democrat – everyone goes to the grocery store, and everyone feels the impact of skyrocketing costs. Connecticut families are being forced to make tough decisions, and Blumenthal helped create this inflationary crisis with trillions of dollars in reckless spending. If you want to make life affordable again, it is time for new leadership.”

About Leora

I am running to take on the far-left whose policies will make our country look more like the Communist Cuba my family and I escaped in 1960 than the United States we have all known and loved. I am running for Senate to lead the fight for freedom. Joe Biden isn't on the ballot in November, but his policies are. The way to beat back Biden is to beat Dick Blumenthal, and I am the political outsider who can get it done.
