Breaking news, John:
Senator Lindsey Graham just introduced a 15-week abortion ban in the U.S. Senate.
Although it’s unlikely that this ban will pass into law today, these attacks on abortion access are going to continue. There are two paths in front of us: Either Republicans take back the Senate and pass a national abortion ban, or Democrats codify Roe v. Wade into law once and for all. In order to do the latter, we need to gain two more votes in the U.S. Senate — and one of our best bets to do that is by electing Mandela Barnes.
Rush a donation of any amount today to help send Mandela Barnes to the U.S. Senate so he can be one of the two more votes we need to protect abortion access and pass other much-needed legislation into law.

Lindsey Graham’s proposal would ban abortion in every state after 15 weeks — a timeline with no medical basis, according to experts.1 It would put the lives and health of pregnant people across the country at risk.
We don’t need to guess how Senator Ron Johnson, Mandela Barnes’ opponent, will vote on this legislation, John. He’s already made it clear how he feels about abortion bans like this one:
From Vanity Fair on June 30, 2022:
The two-term senator said he didn’t view the repeal of Roe v. Wade “as a huge threat to women’s health” and that things would be “fine.” He said anyone who does not like Wisconsin’s abortion laws “can move.”
From the Wall Street Journal on May 11, 2022:
“It might be a little messy for some people, but abortion is not going away,” [Johnson] said, saying that driving across state lines to Illinois would likely be an option. “I just don’t think this is going to be the big political issue everybody thinks it is, because it’s not going to be that big a change.”
And from an official statement from Johnson himself:
“I also signed an amicus brief supporting Dobbs in overturning Roe, and also in protecting life after 15 weeks”
Not only does Wisconsin deserve better, we as a nation deserve better than what Ron Johnson, Lindsey Graham, and other anti-choice politicians are giving us. We must send Mandela Barnes the U.S. Senate this November so he can shut down future national abortion bans and vote to codify Roe as soon as possible.
In order to do that, he needs your help. Please consider rushing a donation today to support our organizing and mobilization efforts to elect Mandela Barnes to the U.S. Senate.

There is too much at risk to not do all we can leading up to Election Day.
