Today should be a day of celebration for House Democrats as we join President Biden in promoting the inflation reduction law, welcome two new Members – Congressman-Elect Pat Ryan (NY-19) and Congresswoman-Elect Mary Peltola (AK-AL) — and prepare to kick off Hispanic Heritage Month. But Republicans have just announced a new assault on Americans’ rights and freedoms. Senate Republicans are moving full steam ahead TODAY to introduce a NATIONAL ban on abortion.
To be clear, their ban is what would be in store for ALL 50 STATES if Republicans took control of Congress in the upcoming elections. This is the nightmare scenario – they will NOT succeed. We are winning in November.
