Friend,

I’ll admit it—I know Alex a little better than most people. I watched him grow up in our community and come out in our community. And when Alex came home and was elected mayor at 22, I couldn’t help reflecting on our family story. 

I grew up poor here in Holyoke, and I spent every day of the last 33 years going to work at the meat packing plant in Springfield, first on the floor, and now getting to manage a team. I’m proud to have brought our family into the middle class. And after those long days on the floor, coming home to public housing with my young family, I never imagined my son would grow up to be the Mayor of Holyoke, out and proud and tough and fair. I could not possibly be prouder.

Not every family has the chances we’ve had, but I believe that with the kind of leadership my son has shown as Mayor, and with the values we lived in our family, he’ll fight to make opportunities possible for everyone here in Western MA, because he knows: We all do better when we ALL do better.

I can’t wait to watch Alex lead the First District, and I’m all in with you, Morse Force. The Morse Family thanks you from the bottom of our hearts, and as we prepare for 2020, I hope you’ll chip in whatever you can to this 100% grassroots campaign:
