John,

No one holds more authority than an attorney general in today’s justice system. As a state’s chief prosecutor and legal adviser, an attorney general decides who to prosecute and what the charges will be.

Color Of Change PAC-endorsed candidate, incumbent Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison, is committed to justice and civil rights for all Minnesotans. As the lead prosecutor who won justice for George Floyd last year, Keith Ellison has established a track record of advancing criminal justice reform and holding powerful officials and corporations accountable.

Just like in 2018, Keith Ellison is facing a toss-up. This time against Republican candidate Jim Schultz, according to a KSTP/SurveyUSA poll that went out last week.1 Keith Ellison is a steadfast progressive and he's fighting with all he's got to win back his seat. That’s why we’re counting on this community made of members and organizers to ensure that every Minnesota resident who wants to vote is able to before Nov. 8. Can you chip in your first donation to help us build the capacity we need to get out the vote in Minnesota and communities across the country where progressive candidates are in tight races? In the background, we can’t forget that mainstream Republicans are continuing to bolster the lie about the 2020 presidential election results and are propelling a strategy to cast doubt on the 2022 midterm election. John,, we are in a real state of emergency for American democracy. WE MUST GET OUT THE VOTE.

Those who cast their ballots by Nov. 8 can help make our nation safer and more equitable for Black Americans. When you chip in $15 or more, you’re helping us send a clear message that our democracy is worth protecting and defending against MAGA Republicans and white supremacist activism. [link removed]
