The Biden administration continues to threaten and punish service members who have religious objections to the military vaccine mandate. But while some government officials persist on a punitive approach, many of our national leaders still have our heroes’ backs.
In the past couple of weeks, five friend-of-the-court briefs were filed at the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals supporting First Liberty’s 35 active-duty Navy SEAL clients who are fighting for a religious accomodation.
Joining the fight with these friend-of-the-court briefs are 22 States, 27 U.S. Senators and Representatives, Lt. General (Ret.) William “Jerry” Boykin, Professor Tod Zywicki and Jerffrey Singer, M.D., and the Liberty, Life and Law Foundation.
First Liberty is grateful for this timely support from these national leaders. One of our Navy SEAL clients was so moved by this substantial support that they wrote a letter of gratitude. Click on the video to hear this thank you message:

Together, we are standing up against the Department of Defense’s bullying tactics as many of these U.S. Navy service members are now being forced to live in deplorable conditions.
This punishment extends beyond the 35 active-duty Navy SEALs. First Liberty is also representing thousands of U.S. Navy service members seeking religious exemptions.
Like the Navy SEALs, many are being transferred to horrific living conditions, facing career demotions and even losing their personal and family benefits as the DoD alters their status to “inactive.”
Americans do not give up their faith when they join the military. Service members should not be unlawfully threatened or punished for holding to their sincerely held religious beliefs.
Now that we're fighting in federal appeals court, we need your help to win for the Navy SEALs and all Navy service members who are standing for faith.
Please join the fight to protect our military heroes today with your best gift.
Together, we can fight and win for thousands of service members who protect us on the frontlines every day.
They fight for us. Will we fight for them?
