John, 2018 was just the beginning.
Ever since you elected me as the first woman ever to represent Pennsylvania's 6th Congressional District, I’ve been fighting to deliver on our bold vision for the future: protecting reproductive freedom, great jobs, affordable health care for all, equal opportunity for everyone to thrive, and more! I don't plan to slow down either and here's why:
After my father came to the United States as a refugee fleeing war-torn Poland, he was given the opportunity to attend Columbia College and later had the honor to serve in the Navy. Following in my father's footsteps, I went to Stanford and MIT and served in the Air Force. I knew then what I know now: I wanted to give back to my community and the country that has given me and my whole family so much.
As an entrepreneur, after starting and leading several companies, this spirit of service led me to become the founding COO of B-Labs, so I could help small businesses grow in a sustainable, community-enriching manner. Soon thereafter, I worked as a chemistry teacher in North Philadelphia as a Teach for America Corps member.
Then, after President Trump was elected in 2016, I saw how nervous my family was about the future of our country. From my daughters to my father, we were horrified about what was to come. That's when I decided to run for Congress, to make life better for our Commonwealth, and for you.
My experiences have helped shape my political vision, and I've never stopped fighting for PA-06. But my opponent and his allies are doing everything they can to block our mission of progress – and now House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy has made our district a top target in this year's midterm elections.
Just like our first race, this one is also an uphill battle. But we proved that if we stand together, we can make a better future for everyone in PA-06. In many ways, our work has only just begun. Please, John, can you donate $5 so we can power our movement to victory and keep this seat and the House blue?
Thank you for your support. There's work to be done.
Chrissy
