Every child deserves access to a world-class education, no matter where they live.

That’s what my education plan — A Prepared Arizona — is all about.

Like you, I know that Arizona can be the best place in the country to live, work, and raise a family. Making that goal a reality starts with making sure our children are receiving a high-quality education. Here are the steps a Hobbs administration would take:

• Ensure free early childhood education for students and affordable child care for parents.
   
• Make sure Arizona children and educators have the support and resources they need to succeed.
   
• Provide additional support in the classroom by expanding the number of school counselors and social workers so that students can learn in a safe and supportive environment.
   
• Ensure our K-12 education helps every child learn, grow, and prepare for a wide range of higher education and career opportunities.
   
• Increase the post-secondary educational opportunities available to students.

I firmly believe we can — and must — help everyone in our state reach their full potential, while building a strong economy that provides jobs with better pay and robust benefits. As a member of the state legislature, expanding funding for education was one of my top priorities, and it will remain one as Arizona’s next governor.
