Dear AFGE Activist,
We have an incredible line-up of webinar, self-paced, and in-person trainings available to you this month.
Check out our September trainings listed below:
Mental Health Awareness (Live Webinar)
Date: September 21, 2022
Time: 3:00pm ET - 5:00pm ET
Instructors: Julie Mendez De-Leon; Milly Rodriguez
We’re glad to be continuing our Mental Health Awareness training with Kaiser Permanente. This interactive workshop is ideal for stewards, local leaders and members looking for ways to support members and co-workers. It is intended to raise awareness of mental health conditions and create a stigma-free workplace. The skills we learn in this class can help us cope with the challenges of our new normal and provide methods to support our members and coworkers who may be struggling at work and at home. The class is free of charge, but seating is limited and so we are asking that participants commit in advance to this date and time.
We hope you will join us for this class and become an advocate for mental health and wellbeing in the workplace.
Online Stewards Orientation (Live Webinar)

Time: 1:00pm ET - 5:00pm ET
A must for new stewards (or stewards who never received formal training), this introductory webinar overviews the role of the steward, active worksite representation, and one of the most important laws that outlines the rights of union representatives: 5 USC Chapter 71.
