Jill Ferguson: "Jill Ferguson was nicknamed “Badass Grandma” by the youth who watched her truthtell for hours to one officer after another ordered to arrest her at the Treaty People Gathering in June 2021. Some officers were moved to tears as she spoke of the water and lives that would be harmed by Line 3, as well as the personal harms they were suffering from their work. Most were not able to follow through with arresting her."
