Dear NRDC Activist,

Alaska's Bristol Bay is a national treasure. This pristine watershed is
home to the world's most valuable sockeye salmon fishery that has
supported Native communities for centuries, along with a spectacular array
of wildlife — from orcas and bears to lynx and eagles.

But Canadian mining company Northern Dynasty is hell-bent in its push to
build its gargantuan open-pit Pebble Mine that would generate a staggering
10 billion tons of mining waste in the very headwaters of this majestic
wilderness. We need your help.

NRDC has a
goal to raise $100,000 to help defend Bristol Bay and our environment on
all fronts, and we're matching all gifts 3X for TRIPLE the impact. [ [link removed] ]Our
records show you haven't made a gift yet. Please add your name by making a
tax-deductible donation today before the midnight deadline, and it will be
matched — up to our $100,000 goal — to go three times as far.
A gift of $5 will translate into $15 for our
environment!

The EPA has long recognized that the Pebble Mine poses a catastrophic risk
to the Bristol Bay watershed. But for years, Northern Dynasty unleashed a
torrent of litigation that effectively stopped the EPA from doing its job
and protecting this natural wonder.

Now, with the EPA finally poised to permanently protect Bristol Bay and
its legendary wild salmon runs, Northern Dynasty — flush with millions of
dollars in dark-horse investor money — is once again sure to try and bury
the agency under lawsuits in order to get their way. We can't afford to
risk history repeating itself.

[ [link removed] ]NRDC has spent years protecting Bristol Bay, and we're not about to
stop now. Help us prepare for the courtroom battle ahead by making your
tax-deductible contribution today — and if you give before our MIDNIGHT
deadline, your gift will be MATCHED 3X, up to $100,000 to help us defend
our environment on all fronts. Even just $5 will have a
huge impact.

For more than a decade, Bristol Bay tribes have been fighting to stop the
Pebble Mine, and NRDC has been relentless in our campaign to support them
and protect the region's people and wildlife from this disaster in the
making.

But even after bringing the mine worldwide notoriety and helping to send
four multinational mining companies to the exits, Northern Dynasty has
amassed a multimillion-dollar war chest and is vowing to "keep fighting."

Our resolve must be stronger than ever. Together, we can ensure: No Pebble
Mine. Not now, not ever!

But the resources we have today could well determine the fate of Bristol
Bay. Will you help us?

[ [link removed] ]Help supercharge our defenses for the upcoming courtroom battles to
protect Bristol Bay and stop the Pebble Mine by making a TRIPLE MATCHED
donation today. Give $5 or more and it'll be 3X
matched!

With your support, our environment has a fighting chance.

Warmly,

Joel Reynolds
Western Director & Senior Attorney, NRDC

Donations will be used to fight against the Pebble Mine, defend Bristol
Bay, and for other campaigns that allow NRDC to protect the environment in
the most effective way possible.

The mission of the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) is to
safeguard the Earth: its people, its plants and animals, and the natural
systems on which all life depends.
