Although September 22nd?is the first official day of fall here in Maine, many areas of the state are already experiencing their first glimpses of the splendor and beauty that is yet to come. Peak foliage typically kicks-off in the northern region of our state during the last week of September and wraps up in the southern region sometime near the end of October. Whether you are a little early or a little late don?t be discouraged, every stage of this transformation is sure to inspire both awe and wonder. And if you caught (pun intended) the September Fishing Report [ [link removed] ], you already know that this month offers some of the most spectacular opportunities for angling here in the Pine Tree State as well.

?

As temperatures begin to cool, a number of our most sought-after species of fish will make their way back to the surface of our waters, take to the shallows, and spread out within their respective stream or river. And last but not least, the vibrant colors of the majestic brook trout will soon be on full display as they prepare for the upcoming spawn. However, this chance to combine two of your favorite activities and enjoy some of the very best that Maine has to offer is short lived, so don?t miss it!
