Leora Levy Rejects ‘Secure’ Southern Border Claim from VP Harris
GREENWICH, CT - In an interview with NBC’s ‘Meet the Press’ on Sunday, U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris doubled down on her assertion that the Southern Border is secure. This laughable and pathetic claim comes at a time when there have already been over 2 million border encounters, surpassing the 1.7 million encounters in 2021 and setting a new record.
Denouncing this inaccurate and dangerous claim, political outsider and U.S. Senate candidate Leora Levy commented on the combined national security and humanitarian crisis.
“There is an invasion happening at our Southern Border. Biden, Blumenthal, Harris and DC Democrats try to deny that their policies have failed us, but Americans know that we have a border crisis that is growing worse by the day. Deadly drugs, human traffickers, and even dangerous terrorists are crossing into this country, and ignoring the issue is fueling a humanitarian, health and national security crisis.
“We will not let career politicians gaslight the American people. When elected to the U.S. Senate, I will fight to secure our border and use all methods necessary including electronic surveillance, greater support for our border patrol, building a border wall and enforcement of our laws. Open borders leave the U.S. vulnerable, and no matter where you live in the country, open borders pose a significant danger to all Americans. Thanks to Biden’s failed open border policy, every state is a border state. It is evident Blumenthal refuses to step up and hold this administration accountable. It’s time for new leadership.”
